Textron Six Sigma is not an initiative: Textron Six Sigma is a philosophy. For us, Textron Six Sigma is a commitment and the path to the highest level of quality, lean processes and robust designs, which promotes growth and innovation. As such, it is an important component of our corporate culture, COMET.
But not every Six Sigma method is the same. Many methods may only scratch the surface Textron Six Sigma is targeted specifically to our corporation; it is globally recognized and we apply it in all areas, without exception.
In our drive to increase customer satisfaction, we implement DMAIC (Design Measure Analyze Improve Control) methods to minimize deviations in products and processes. We put our customer’s needs first in regard to design, functionality, and pricing, through our application of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methods in product development. Lean methods allow for the reduction of processes to the basics, which therefore creates a higher level of added value.
One percent of our staff members are integrated full-time in a 24-month Textron Six Sigma Black Belt program.
We offer a 2 week six sigma training to all staff members and a 2 day Rapid Problem Solving training to supervisors, team leaders and operators with the purpose to have them Green Belt certified after completing projects and six sigma workshops.
All levels of our organisation participate in Textron Six Sigma training workshops.
