Klaus König was born in 1969 in Dorsten, Germany. After graduating from school and completing his military service he studied mechanical engineering at the University of Aachen, Germany, taking his diploma examination. Klaus Koenig is married and has two children.

Klaus Koenig leads the Continuous Improvement group and is responsible for Process-, Production and CapEx planning, technical purchasing, prototyping and the Technikum as well as the plant manager of the small series production in Bonn. Klaus Koenig is the Chairperson of the „Quality and Continuous Improvement Council” at Textron.
